Wow. I am all over the place now.

So, I've kinda abandoned this blog. I've got so much other stuff going on that there just wasn't a need for this blog when I've got two webcomics (both with blog space), a podcast, a comics blog, a convention website and an comic creator collective here in Fort Wayne.

So. If you're looking for me on the web, you can find me at each of the links below:

Mystery Solved! - The Webcomic of Skepticism and Adventure!

The Misadventures of Ned Weinerman - Public Domain Comics With New Words

Summit City Comic Con - An annual comic book convention held each Spring in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Summit City Ink - A Comic Creator Collective in Fort Wayne, Indiana

A Little Nonsense - An Open Discussion Blog On Comics, Art, and All Things Geek

Twitter - Zack's Twitter Feed

Okay! That oughta get you updated on where you can find me from here on out. I may come back here and post occasionally, but that seems VERY unlikely at this point. Please do follow me at all of those links above!

Speaking of great reviewers and The Contingent #2, are you reading the F-Bomb blog? You need to get on that! Check out the reviews section and you will find another great review for The Contingent! F-Bomb Review

New webcomic announced!

Friends! Hello!

I have exciting news for you! As I make the final preparations to get The Contingent #2 off to the printer, I am also in the early phases of my new webcomic: Mystery Solved!.

Mystery Solved! is a series of adventures that revolve around the globe trotting raconteur Colonel Randall Thaddeus Winchester IV...The Colonel, for short. Each story will follow the Colonel as he relates the details of his latest investigation where he encounters faith healing phonies, mythical monsters, and nefarious nuns.

Each complete story will feature the talents of a new artist to accompany Zack Kruse's scripts. The first story and character designs are done by the incredibly talented Big Jim Miller

Scheduled artists include Jim Miller, Katie Cook and Dave Dwonch.

More to come on the official launch date of the site and future artists. Below are the inked pages for the first story, as drawn by Jim Miller

Site's up

Hey kids,

My website is now up and running. It's not perfect but it works for the time being. I am moving the overwhelming majority of my posts there--being that I'm paying for it and all. :)

I will post here on occasion, but my primary base of operations is now at Hardcastle Industries.

Be sure to come and see me there. I'll have all the news that is news, including announcements about convention appearances and my new webcomic.

Bad news...

Hey kids. I just heard from my Diamond rep yesterday and I am feeling rather dejected. Unfortunately issue #2 of the book did not meet Diamond's necessary benchmarks and they have decided to cancel orders for the book. I had asked if I could at least honor the orders that were placed and was politely turned down.

Not a good feeling. Especially for all of the work I had put into it.

Thank you SO much to everyone who supported me and the book. That means more than you will ever know.

Now to the (sort of) good news:

If you placed your order through DCBS, your order will be filled without question. We are still moving forward and hope to continue to make the book available for order through the first six issues.

We are also going to be moving the book online and I will post back here once everything is set up with the digital version of the book.

Thank you all again for your love and support. While this certainly hurts, I'm glad to be a part of a community that showed such strong support for me and the book. There are relatively few things that I value above true friendship and you all have shown that to me. Right now, I'm just trying to look forward, continue on with the book as far as we can.
